Abstract (English):
Interest in political history and the supreme state power is growing due to the recognition of the state importance. The purpose of the article is to analyze the structure of the supreme authorities in the first period of Russian statehood. The research references studies of the early Slavic statehood. In the first period of Russian statehood, the supreme power incorporated contractual relations, joint rule, elements of politia and social self-organization. The structure of the supreme authorities was threefold. The combination of various elements of power provided legitimacy and manageability. The structure of the governing bodies included elements of collegial and sole power, representation, advisory institutions. The research of the past provides material for identifying historical patterns and their presence nowadays.
